Unusual scenes yesterday at werchter boutique: with the teenage hyped tokio hotel in the early afternoon and james blunt after that, the real headliners of this event weren’t even on the top of the flyer.

Tokio hotel with support acts before and after, that’s how you could easily describe yesterday’s first edition of werchter boutique. The sound of Bill and Tom and there friends Gustav and Georg relaxed the audience and worried the parents: would there twelve and thirteen year olds survive the sound in the first row? They did. Although it became much more crowded then during any Rock Werchter moment. A massive scream before, during and after every song, banners and slogans everywhere and every now and then a girl throwing a teddy bear on the stage with her phone number.
I am wondering if they will ever call her…..
While the parents were doubting the short list of songs of the band the response to songs as “Ready, Set, Go” and “Monsoon” proved that a whole young generation had found there way to the festival. Goodbye?
For the kids the day only could suck after that. Everything came a little bit to a stop after tokio hotel.
